Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) is often a slow growing cancer that can remain indolent for years.

However, the overproduction of lymphocytes can worsen over time and cause an increase in symptoms and issues.

Identifying the genetic changes can be useful for stratifying risk and understanding the disease state.
Sample Requirements:

Bone Marrow

2-5 mL in a sodium heparin (green top) tube for all tests.

5 mL in a EDTA (purple top) is acceptable for FISH and molecular testing only

Minimum: 1 mL

Storage: Room temperature if being shipped within 24 hours. Refrigerate if shipping will be delayed.

Stability: Sample is optimum if received within 48 hours.

Transportation: Room temperature (do not freeze or fix)
